Stop Turbines on the Peninsula (STOP) PDF E-mail
The STOP campaign has come into being to fight the erection of six giant, industrial, wind turbines on the Ellerside / Stribers ridge line. With a height of 125 mtrs (410 ft) to blade tips they will overlook and dominate the beautiful medieval village of Cartmel and surrounding valley to the east, and the stunning Greenodd sands and village and panorama of the Lakeland fells to the west.
